Band
Congratulations to the Marching Band and Guard for being invited back to perform in the Indy 500 Day Parade!!
The High School Band is a very important curricular activity, which represents our school and community with the finest musical talent. The Band is open to all musically interested students in the grades 9-12.
The High School Band is an accredited class which meets during 6th period every school day and may also schedule rehearsals outside of school time. The Band attends the Christmas show and the Variety show every school year in addition to extra events as in the Paramount Theater.
High School Students have an opportunity to earn a letter while participating in band. The requirements are none too difficult. Each student must participate in summer band, attend a professional orchestra/band show, and participate in the ISSMA Band Competition.
Summer marching band is one of the most exciting parts of participating in band. Each year the students who take part get together for 2 1/2 months during the summer preparing an always unforgettable routine to perform at State Fair Band Day in August. This past year our Marching Bulldogs placed 19th, tieing with Frankton High School for the trophy.
