Home+/Internet Explorer Issues
It has come to our attention that some parents are having issues with Home+ when jumping between schools to check multiple students. After working with STI, it has been determined that this is an Internet Explorer issue. The issue is that the Home+ logins and pages are encrypted to protect the sensitive information contained within. The combination of the encryption and the way Internet Explorer handles its cache are not 100% compatible. A work-around, which has work for some people, but not all, is to make the following changes in Internet Explorer: |
- Select 'Tools' from the Internet Explorer pulldown menu
- Select 'Internet Options'
- On the 'General' tab, click the 'Settings' button (see below figure)
- Click the 'Delete Cookies' button, then the 'Delete Files' button to clear your cache.
- Click the 'Settings' Button
- Check 'Every Visit to the Page'
- Change 'Amount of disk space to use' to 10 (see below figure)
- Click 'OK', then 'OK' exit out the options menu.
- Close and restart Internet Explorer.
If this does not correct your issues, then we suggest trying the Firefox browser, as Firefox does not have the issue with Home+ that Internet Explorer does. Click the icon below to download Firefox. We highly recommend you give Firefox a try, as it is a much more robust and secure browser than Internet Explorer.. |
