Grades 7 & 8

1. Adhere to and cooperate with FLCS drug-screening policy.
2. Participate in scoliosis screening (7th).
3. Participate in vision screening (8th).
4. Identify lice prevention strategies (not sharing combs, hats, coats, and sleepovers).
5. Exhibit appropriate coping mechanisms regarding transition from elementary to junior high.
6. Demonstrate responsibility to report to the health room at scheduled times for administration of medication and/or treatment procedures.
7. Express health concerns in a detailed manner for appropriate referral.
8. Comply with appropriate immunizations required by state law.
9. Recognize prevention strategies as needs are identified (repeated visits to health room for treatment of injuries).

Grades 9-12

1. Adhere to and cooperate with FLCS drug screening policy.
2. Participate in scoliosis screening (9th).
3. Participate actively in treatment, elimination and prevention of head lice.
4. Recognize prevention strategies as needs are identified (repeated visits to health room for treatment of injuries).
5. Demonstrate responsibility to report to the health room at scheduled times for administration of medication and/or treatment procedures.
6. Express health concerns in a detailed manner for appropriate referral.
7. Comply with appropriate immunizations required by state law.
8. Understand and demonstrate personal hygiene.
9. Understand importance of regular physical check-ups through particular instruction on health related conditions (blood pressure).
